How Taming Works
Feed a wild dino until its food counter fills — then saddle up. Foods that worked and what taming costs.
Spot a wild dinosaur
Wild Parasaurolophus and Triceratops both tamed through the same feed-until-friendly interaction.
Stock food it accepts
Foods that worked: a Cooked dinosaur chop for a Parasaurolophus, Blueberries for a Triceratops. Cooked dino meat comes off the campfire.
Feed until the counter fills
Each bite advances the food counter above the dino — one Parasaurolophus was seen at 5/7 with "One more bite...". Bite counts differ per dino, so carry extra.
Confirm the tame
The dino equips a saddle and a green name tag with your name, and the tame message appears.
Use Ride to hop on — your new ally now lives in the left HUD panel.
The Road to Rescuing Usagi
The game's own rescue condition: reach night 100. Four visible signs tell you the run is on track.
Step 1
The day counter keeps climbing
Night 100 is the threshold the loading tip names — the on-screen day number is your rescue odometer.
Step 2
Campfire levels rise toward 8
Zone-unlock messages like "Zone 1 unlocked - Campfire level 1/8" confirm each level and its new recipes.
Step 3
New zones open
Raising the campfire unlocks fresh zones across the island.
Step 4
Your minimap fills in
Craft the Map (4 Wood, one per run) and it reveals explored ground, zone chests and the cavemen.

HP is per dino, not per species — one run showed Parasaurs at 150, 187 and 190 beside a Triceratops at 495.

On quiet nights and in fights your dinos stay close — "I'll protect you." and "Nobody touches my human." say it plainly.
